About The Position

We are hiring a Spotter to safely move trailers around the yard, position trailers at dock doors, and assist with shipping and receiving operations. This is a non-CDL position that requires strong backing skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety. The Spotter will also assist with loading and unloading materials, verifying shipments, receiving incoming inventory, and ensuring products are handled and shipped accurately and efficiently.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience spotting, backing, or maneuvering trailers is preferred.
• Experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material-handling operations is a plus.
• Ability to operate material-handling equipment, such as forklifts, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely move trucks and trailers throughout the yard and position trailers at designated dock doors.
• Back trailers into tight dock spaces, including areas with limited clearance between other trailers.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles and trailers are in safe working condition.
• Verify loads, shipping documents, and paperwork for accuracy before shipments leave the facility.
• Assist with loading, unloading, staging, and moving materials throughout the facility.
• Receive incoming raw materials, components, and other inventory.
• Verify incoming shipments against bills of lading, packing slips, and other receiving documents.
• Maintain accurate records of received goods, damaged products, and inventory transactions.
• Use material-handling equipment, such as forklifts, hand trucks, and skids, as needed.
• Assist with preparing shipping documents, bills of lading, and other required paperwork.
• Support the timely movement of materials to ensure efficient production and shipping operations.
• Follow all company safety policies and applicable regulations, including proper PPE requirements.
