About The Position
Reporting to the Sportsbook Supervisor, the Sportsbook Ticket Writer is the face of the retail sportsbook operation. The role provides a high level of customer service to regular and novice bettors, helping customers feel welcome. The Ticket Writer develops familiarity with the sportsbook’s betting options and answers questions so customers can make informed, responsible decisions about sports wagering. The position also requires compliance with company policies and gaming control board regulations, accurate completion of required documentation, and collaboration with team members and leadership.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift, pull, or push 25 pounds.
- Must be able to write for extended periods.
- Must be able to twist, bend, or reach without significant boundaries.
Responsibilities
- Provide top-tier customer service that encourages customers to return.
- Follow all rules and regulations established by the company and gaming control board.
- Become familiar with betting options and discuss them with customers.
- Resolve customer disputes and complaints, escalating them to the direct supervisor when needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members and the leadership team.
- Complete required paperwork and documentation in accordance with company policy and gaming control board standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
