About The Position

The Sports Bar Food Server provides attentive food and beverage service to guests in an assigned station. The role includes greeting guests, taking and entering orders, delivering food, checking on guest satisfaction, recommending and upselling menu items, resolving service issues, and presenting checks. The server maintains accurate knowledge of the menu and current casino events, assists with table bussing and setup, completes assigned side work, and keeps designated work areas and equipment clean and safe. The position follows departmental and property service, confidentiality, health, safety, and equipment procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of food server experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Knowledge of table service procedures and table etiquette.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
• Availability to work the required schedule, which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
• Greet and welcome each guest seated in the assigned station.
• Take food and beverage orders, deliver prepared food promptly, and periodically check on guests’ satisfaction.
• Maintain current and accurate knowledge of menu preparation techniques, seasonings, ingredients, and presentation.
• Recommend menu items based on guest preferences and upsell appetizers, beverages, and desserts according to service standards.
• Enter food and beverage orders accurately into the POS system.
• Resolve service issues according to established guidelines.
• Itemize, total, and present checks to the correct customers.
• Assist bus persons with bussing, cleaning, and setting tables as needed.
• Wipe counter areas, sinks, and floors to maintain a clean and safe workstation.
• Maintain designated areas in accordance with health and safety standards.
• Deep clean restaurant equipment as scheduled or required, and operate and maintain equipment according to guidelines and safety procedures.
• Complete assigned side work as directed.
• Know and promote current casino events and programs, and give guests directions to casino areas.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in company matters.
