About The Position

Under the direction of Head Coach(s) and Associate AD for Marketing, this role serves as an assistant coach for dance, cheer, or mascot squads. The position requires adherence to all conduct rules and safety procedures, teaching, motivating, and developing team members. Responsibilities include assisting with practices, conditioning, creating routines and stunts, attending assigned games/events/competitions, and supervising squads. The coach will also problem-solve, alert the head coach of concerns, interact positively with the public, potentially help run tryouts, and promote the wellbeing of team members. Other related duties as assigned. Commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of the University, Conference, and NCAA is essential. This position requires the ability to work a sporadic schedule for practices and to cover assigned events and competitions. Occasional travel with the team may be required.

Requirements

Prior dance experience.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a dance instructor.
Experience with choreography.

Responsibilities
