About The Position

OCS is seeking a reliable, enthusiastic individual to manage and operate the OCS Spirit Store, a vital part of our school community! The Spirit Store is open primarily on Fridays during home football games, select Fridays throughout the school year, and Back to School Day. The Spirit Store Manager will oversee store operations during these events, manage inventory, coordinate volunteers, and ensure all merchandise is prepared and ready for sale. This role is an exciting opportunity to connect with parents, school staff, and students while contributing to school spirit and pride.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to recruit, manage, and coordinate volunteers effectively
  • Willingness to learn and manage a POS system (Shopify experience a plus)
  • Availability to work Friday evenings during football season and select Friday mornings during the school year

Responsibilities

  • Manage and set up the Spirit Store during home football games (Fridays), ensuring smooth operations, strong customer service, and effective sales.
  • Oversee store operations on select Fridays from 7:45 AM–12:00 PM (schedule varies; not every Friday).
  • Organize and set up the store at the beginning of the school year, ensuring all items are properly displayed and easily accessible.
  • Maintain accurate inventory, restock popular items, and keep merchandise organized.
  • Tag all incoming merchandise and ensure it is organized and ready for sale promptly.
  • Lead Spirit Store operations during Back to School Day, providing a welcoming and organized experience for families.
  • Recruit, schedule, and manage parent volunteers to support store operations during all open hours.
  • Utilize (or learn to utilize) the Shopify POS system to manage sales and assist with backend store operations, including tracking inventory and reporting.
  • Provide friendly, helpful service to students, parents, and staff, enhancing their experience and fostering school spirit.
