About The Position

Monroe Group is looking for a Community Manager to join their team. This role involves managing a large Family affordable Project Based Section 8 (PBS8) community. The ideal candidate enjoys mentoring and developing their team, has the personality to positively interact with applicants, residents, and teammates, and enjoys leading teams. They should be strong problem-solvers, have experience in a large Family Affordable Housing Apartment complex, and share the company's mission, vision, and values regarding customer service. The role requires a dynamic leader competent in all phases of financial and variance reporting, with a strong background in PBS8, marketing savvy, and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and Property Management-related software. The Community Manager will be responsible for serving residents, supporting the team, and driving positive results.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two (2) years as Community Manager
  • Working Knowledge of OneSite or Yardi Software
  • English language proficiency (read, speak, and write)
  • The ability to pass a full background check
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle is required

Nice To Haves

  • College Degree is preferred
  • Strong experience in affordable housing programs
  • Participated in Management and Occupancy reviews and UPCS/REAC Inspections
  • Experience with resident occupied project renovations

Responsibilities

  • Providing overall supervision of the community
  • Overseeing and enhancing the value of the property
  • Ensuring the property team is positive and successful
  • Leading and mentoring a dynamic team
  • Developing and managing the budget
  • Ensuring property is meeting KPI Goals for Occupancy, Collections, Compliance, Asset and Budget Management
  • Submitting necessary weekly/monthly reporting
  • Ensuring that site teams deliver Safe, Decent and Sanitary Housing to all our residents
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
