Spiral Binding Operator - TNB
About The Position
A Spiral Binding Operator ensures the superior quality of documents produced in the Spiral Binding Production workflow and contributes to customer success. Spiral coil binding uses a spring-like coil to join a book’s cover and pages so the pages can turn freely. Spiral-bound books lie flat for hands-free reading and can be used for instructional, educational, and reference materials of varying thicknesses. The operator follows job instructions and documented processes, completes spiral binding orders and other finishing services as required, and works toward production goals set by management. The role requires attention to detail, efficiency, dependability, and the ability to work overtime with little or no notice. The scheduled shift is Monday through Friday, 4:45 p.m. to 1:15 a.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Dependable and flexible, with the ability to work overtime with little or no notice.
- Entry-level computer experience.
- Patience, focus, and a high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage time efficiently to meet hourly goals.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
- Focused, goal-oriented, and organized.
Nice To Haves
- At least 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Read and comprehend job instructions, including QA checklists, general and special instructions, and change orders.
- Understand and follow the Spiral Binding workflow to complete customer orders.
- Complete other product workflow finishing services as required.
- Meet or exceed production goals set by the management team.
- Adhere to documented processes and procedures.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
