About The Position
TriCities Hospital is hiring a PRN Speech Therapist (SLP) to help patients improve communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities through skilled, evidence-based care. The therapist supports patient progress and independence while working with a collaborative rehabilitation team in a consistent, well-resourced environment. The position offers clear caseloads, streamlined workflows, and network-backed clinical collaboration. The Speech Therapist performs evaluations as ordered by referring physicians, treats patients according to their plans of care using conventional treatment methods, completes and distributes patient documentation, and provides information to patients and family members throughout care. The therapist communicates with healthcare professionals, participates in continuing learning and activities that support department operations and program development, and manages time effectively. The role is PRN. Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of the employment start date. A Speech-Language Pathologist credential and a master's degree are required.

Responsibilities
- Perform all components of speech-language evaluations as ordered by the referring physician.
- Treat patients according to their plans of care using conventional treatment methods.
- Complete and distribute patient documentation and required paperwork.
- Provide patients and family members with appropriate information throughout the course of care.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
- Participate actively in continuing learning.
- Participate in activities that promote department operations and program development.
- Manage time effectively.
