About The Position

Powerback is seeking a Speech Therapist to provide rehabilitation services that help patients communicate, swallow, and diminish or remediate disorders or deficits. The role is responsible for effective and efficient delivery of rehabilitation services, including designing treatment plans and working with patients to carry them out. The therapist develops individualized programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance speech and communication abilities, adapts to patients’ needs and varied work settings, collaborates with peers, and makes referrals when patients need additional care. The position also involves teaching patients and caregivers skills that support independence and productivity, as well as routine tasks such as cleaning equipment and attending meetings.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders, or a similarly titled area consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Licensed, certified, or credentialed as required in the state of practice.
