About The Position

Powerback is hiring a Speech Therapist to provide rehabilitation services that help patients communicate, swallow, and diminish or remediate disorders or deficits. The role is responsible for effective and efficient delivery of rehabilitation services, including designing plans and working with patients to carry them out. The therapist takes an individualized, whole-person approach to restoring, reinforcing, and enhancing speech and communication abilities. The work may take place across varied settings and includes equipment cleaning, reporting, and meetings. The therapist collaborates with peers, makes referrals when appropriate, and teaches patients and caregivers skills that promote independence and productivity.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders, or a similarly titled area consistent with and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Licensed, certified, or credentialed as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rehabilitation services effectively and efficiently.
• Design treatment plans and work with patients to execute them.
• Create individualized programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance speech and communication abilities.
• Adapt care to patient needs and work across varied settings.
• Clean equipment and participate in reporting and meetings.
• Collaborate with peers and make referrals to help patients receive needed care.
• Train patients and caregivers in skills that promote independence and productivity.
