About The Position

Powerback is hiring a full-time Speech Therapist to provide rehabilitation services that help patients communicate, swallow, and diminish or remediate disorders and deficits. The role is responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of rehabilitation services, including designing and carrying out individualized treatment plans to restore, reinforce, and enhance speech and communication abilities. The Speech Therapist adapts care to each patient and the variety of work settings, collaborates with peers, makes referrals when needed, and trains patients and caregivers to promote independence and productivity.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders, or a similarly titled area consistent with and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Licensed, certified, or credentialed as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rehabilitation services effectively and efficiently.
• Design and carry out individualized plans of care with patients.
• Help patients communicate and swallow, and diminish or remediate disorders or deficits.
• Develop programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ speech and communication abilities.
• Adapt treatment to patient needs and different work settings.
• Collaborate with peers and make referrals to help patients receive appropriate care.
• Train patients and caregivers in skills that promote independence and productivity.
• Clean equipment and report to meetings as part of daily work.
