About The Position
Sprenger Therapy is hiring an in-house Speech-Language Pathologist for Autumn Aegis in Lorain, Ohio. The role is part of a family-owned therapy organization rather than a contract therapy company. SLPs have clinical autonomy and are supported in making care decisions based on resident needs and outcomes. The position involves evaluating and treating residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, with collaboration across the interdisciplinary care team. Mentorship and supervision are provided for Clinical Fellowship candidates.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
- Current SLP license or eligibility for licensure.
- Commitment to patient-first, outcomes-driven care.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with dysphagia evaluation and treatment is preferred.
- Clinical Fellowship candidates are encouraged to apply; mentorship and supervision are provided.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Conduct dysphagia evaluations and make evidence-based diet and intervention recommendations.
- Provide cognitive-linguistic therapy to support functional independence and quality of life.
- Collaborate with physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, and dietary staff to coordinate whole-person care.
- Document clearly and efficiently in support of quality outcomes.
