About The Position

Sprenger Therapy is hiring an in-house Speech-Language Pathologist for Amherst Manor in Amherst, Ohio. This PRN role is part of a family-owned therapy organization rather than a contract therapy company. The position provides clinical autonomy and emphasizes resident-centered care, with decisions guided by patient needs and outcomes. The SLP works alongside physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, dietary, residents, and families to provide coordinated care. Clinical Fellowship candidates are encouraged to apply; mentorship and supervision are provided.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
Current SLP license or eligibility for licensure.
Commitment to patient-first, outcomes-driven care.

Nice To Haves

Experience with dysphagia evaluation and treatment is preferred.
Clinical Fellowship candidates are encouraged to apply; mentorship and supervision are provided.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Conduct dysphagia evaluations and make evidence-based diet and intervention recommendations.
Provide cognitive-linguistic therapy to support functional independence and quality of life.
Collaborate with PT, OT, nursing, and dietary to ensure coordinated, whole-person care.
Document clearly and efficiently in support of quality outcomes.
