About The Position

Packers Staffing is hiring a Speech Therapist SLP to provide speech-language pathology services at Waters Edge Health and Rehab and Sheridan Health and Rehab in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The position involves planning, organizing, developing, and directing speech-language pathology services in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as direction from the Administrator, to maintain high-quality resident care. The role is full-time with flexible scheduling; per diem/PRN work is also mentioned. The therapist will provide resident care and coordinate therapy services across both facilities.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology.
Certificate of Clinical Competency.
Active SLP license in the state or states of practice.
Maintain current licensure and certification through ongoing continuing education and professional development.

Responsibilities

Provide quality speech therapy services and initiate referrals when appropriate, following established practice standards, department procedures, and productivity standards.
Evaluate residents and obtain the information necessary for treatment planning and implementation.
Develop treatment plans that include target lists and short- and long-term goals.
Instruct patients, families, and staff in appropriate speech-language procedures to support the carryover of therapeutic interventions and goals in daily activities.
Complete compliant, medically necessary documentation in accordance with CMS expectations using NetHealth EMR systems.
Oversee and implement proper FEES/MBS protocols in coordination with site programs.
Participate in screening protocols to ensure residents’ needs are identified and met in a timely manner with clinical excellence.
