About The Position

Theracare is seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support high-quality speech and language services for children in a school setting. The SLPA works under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), implementing individualized treatment plans for children with communication and feeding needs. The role involves working with children and families in a collaborative environment.

The position serves the Plainfield School System, with three days at Brentwood Elementary and two days at Plainfield Community Middle School. The schedule is ideally five days per week, though a three-day schedule is also an option.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited SLPA program.
• Current SLPA licensure, or eligibility for licensure, in Indiana.
• Must have 100 supervised clinical hours to apply for SLPA licensure.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Pediatric experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct therapy services as directed by the supervising SLP.
• Implement individualized treatment plans and document patient progress.
• Support children with speech, language, social communication, and feeding goals.
• Prepare therapy materials and assist with clinic organization.
• Collaborate with SLPs, families, and other team members to support patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with clinic and payer requirements.
