Theracare is seeking a motivated, compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support speech and language services for children in a school setting. Under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), the SLPA implements individualized treatment plans for children with communication and feeding needs. The position is for the Plainfield School System, with three days at Brentwood Elementary and two days at Plainfield Community Middle School. The posting describes five days per week as ideal but says a three-day schedule is also possible.

The SLPA provides direct therapy as directed by the supervising SLP, documents progress, prepares therapy materials, and collaborates with SLPs, families, and other team members. The posting also describes the role as supporting a collaborative, fast-paced outpatient environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited SLPA program.
• Current SLPA licensure, or eligibility for licensure, in Indiana.
• Must have 100 supervised clinical hours to apply for SLPA licensure.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Pediatric experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct therapy services as directed by the supervising SLP.
• Implement individualized treatment plans and document patient progress.
• Support children with speech, language, social communication, and feeding goals.
• Prepare therapy materials and assist with clinic organization.
• Collaborate with SLPs, families, and other team members to support patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with clinic and payer requirements.
