About The Position
Thrive Therapy of Kansas helps patients improve communication, independence, and quality of life through compassionate, evidence-based therapy services delivered in the comfort of their homes. Our mission is to provide high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting our clinicians with flexibility, teamwork, and opportunities for professional growth. We are seeking a Part-Time Home Health Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our growing therapy team in the KCK area. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide individualized therapy services that support patients with communication, speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing needs in the home health setting.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program (required)
- Active Kansas SLPA license/certification (required)
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- Dependable, self-motivated, and compassionate
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 1 year of SLPA experience preferred
- Previous pediatric or adult therapy experience preferred
- Home health experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
- Provide speech and language therapy services to patients in their homes
- Assist patients in improving communication, cognitive, and swallowing skills as directed by the SLP
- Monitor, document, and report patient progress and condition changes in a timely manner
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques, home exercises, and communication strategies
- Maintain accurate patient documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with the therapy team and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- Maintain a professional, compassionate, and patient-centered approach during all visits
