About The Position

This is a travel opportunity for a Speech Language Pathologist in Acute Care, specifically within a long-term care setting in North Adams, Massachusetts. Requirements

Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the appropriate state or eligibility for licensure by endorsement
Current, valid credentials to practice as an SLP
Ability to work in a long-term care setting and follow a structured 40-hour weekly schedule
Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills
Willingness to participate in a 17-week travel assignment and adhere to shift hours (08:00–16:30)

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing assessments for residents in the LTC setting.
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans, monitor progress, and adjust goals as needed.
Deliver direct speech-language pathology services, document treatment notes, and maintain accurate records in the charting system.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, rehabilitation, social work, and medical staff) to optimize patient outcomes.
Screen for and manage swallowing disorders; provide dysphagia strategies and educate residents, families, and caregivers.
Support discharge planning and transitions of care, communicating changes in status and contributing to care conferences.
