About The Position

This is a travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) assignment in an acute care setting located in Seaford, Delaware. The contract duration is 21 weeks, with a start date of August 17, 2026. The role involves working in a long-term care/nursing home environment with acute care responsibilities. The position offers guaranteed hours and a competitive weekly pay rate. A $2,000 quickstart bonus is included, and an ASAP start is required.

Requirements

Active Delaware business license to staff in Delaware
Must have an active account with the DHSS Background Check Center (the approved platform for mandatory background checks/fingerprinting)
Ability to work in a long-term care setting with acute care responsibilities
Eligible to work in the United States and perform travel assignments as required

Responsibilities

Perform speech-language pathology evaluations and provide ongoing therapy for residents with communication and swallowing disorders within the LTC setting.
Develop, implement, and revise individualized treatment plans; monitor progress and adjust goals as needed.
Conduct bedside assessments and therapy, including swallowing safety and feeding strategies; document outcomes.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, therapy, social work) to coordinate care and support discharge planning.
Educate residents, families, and care staff on communication strategies, compensatory techniques, and swallowing safety.
Maintain accurate documentation in medical records and ensure compliance with facility policies and state regulations.
