About The Position

Amedisys, part of the Optum family of businesses, provides home health, hospice, and community-based services. The Speech Language Pathologist provides skilled in-home evaluation and treatment for speech, language, cognition, voice, and swallowing disorders. The role partners with patients, families, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary team to improve communication, safety, independence, and quality of life through personalized care. The position includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus for external employees. Compensation ranges from $70,992 to $97,614 annually based on full-time employment, with eligibility for bonuses based on sales performance. Pay depends on factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. Requirements

Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology in the state where assigned to work.
Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
Completed graduate coursework and clinical practicum at a college or university with a program accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).
Current CPR certification.

At least 1 year of experience in Speech Pathology.

Responsibilities

Prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in adults.
Provide aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Provide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.
Perform other duties as assigned.
