About The Position

Little Friends Center for Autism is seeking a part-time Speech Language Therapist to become a vital part of their outpatient clinic's multi-disciplinary team, specifically within the Foundations Therapeutic Program. This program is dedicated to equipping children with the necessary skills, confidence, and connections for their future endeavors.

Requirements

• Masters in Speech and Language Pathology
• IL PEL with Speech Language Pathology
• IDFPR license required

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children with autism
• Experience with AAC

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans for referred clients.
• Assess the speech and language needs of referred clients and write reports with recommendations.
• Write goals ensuring the treatment plan is appropriate and current.
• Document progress on goals using SOAP notes.
• Consult with parents/guardians to integrate speech and language therapy plans into the home environment.
• Communicate with schools, doctors, or other therapists when permitted and necessary to obtain or give information per parental requests.
• Provide 6-month progress summaries on all clients in caseload.
