About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Radiology Director, the Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for the provision of speech therapy services in the acute care, outpatient, and Skilled Nursing setting.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence.
  • State of Texas License to practice Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation necessary as driving between campuses is required.
  • Ability to diagnose, treat and provide management services to patients with communication disorders including speech, language, voice, fluency and literacy difficulties or patients’ with physical problems with eating or swallowing.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year hospital experience including modified barium swallow studies.
