About The Position

Project Play is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year in Nashville. This role is crucial in helping students reach their fullest potential by providing quality speech and language therapy. The position involves collaborating with interdisciplinary team members in a dynamic school environment, making a significant impact on children with disabilities and developmental delays. The ideal candidate will be passionate, creative, a problem-solver, and a collaborator, engaging effectively with students, parents/guardians, and other service providers. This role offers opportunities to build relationships within the Project Play Therapy team, participate in regular collaboration and team gatherings, and grow professionally through evidence-based practice roundtables and continuing education. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders / Speech-Language
  • Tennessee State License as an SLP-CCC, or SLP-CF from the Health-Related Board
  • Demonstrates strong organization and communication skills, a positive attitude, and the belief that all children can reach their fullest potential with the right supports
  • Believes collaboration, innovation, fun, and a growth mindset are foundational to success

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with clients, families, and team members to establish rapport and trust
  • Establish and maintain excellent, game-changing service delivery, including via screenings, evaluations, case management, and direct therapy
  • Assess client needs, design treatment plans, and collect data to show the impact of services and help clients reach their goals
  • Contribute to a team environment that values collaboration, growth, and joy
