About The Position

Select Kids Pediatric Therapy is seeking a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. The position evaluates and treats pediatric patients with conditions including developmental delay, cerebral palsy, genetic disorders, autism spectrum disorders, sensory processing issues, feeding disorders, speech and language delays, childhood apraxia of speech, articulation disorders, and phonological disorders. The role offers mentorship across pediatric speech-language pathology, including feeding therapy and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). New graduates seeking to complete their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are welcome to apply. The position is located at 3770 8th Street SW, Altoona, Iowa, and is scheduled Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Compensation starts at $63,000, depending on experience, with $350 per month in uncapped student debt relief.

Requirements

Meet ASHA minimum standards for initiation of a Clinical Fellowship Year, including 36 credit hours in prescribed study.
State SLP licensure and ASHA certification are required.
Complete 300 hours of prescribed clinical practicum experience.

Responsibilities

Provide quality patient care and maintain positive interactions with centers and patients.
Coordinate treatment programs with other clinical and therapeutic services.
Evaluate assigned patients and establish appropriate treatment goals and programs to maximize outcomes.
Continuously evaluate patients’ status and goals.
