Therapy/Rehabilitation - SLP Inpatient Rehab

BesticaFlorence, SC
Onsite

About The Position

This position is for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF). The daily caseload involves approximately 6.5 out of 8 hours of contact time, with patient treatment times ranging from 30 to 60 minutes. The shift is 5x8s, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Clinicians are expected to float within their scope to meet facility needs, primarily within the Inpatient Rehab Program, but may float to acute care depending on census fluctuations. First-time travelers with prior IRF experience are accepted. A current SC state licensure and BLS certification are required, along with ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). Special requirements include NMES (Vital Stim) and MBSR. A radiation badge is required and must be provided by the agency, as MUSC does not provide them to travelers. Block schedules may be accommodated upon request prior to assignment but are not guaranteed. Locals within a 60-mile radius are not accepted. All RTO must be submitted at the time of submission and approval is based on facility needs. The facility is allowed to call off one shift per two weeks. The IRF is located on the 9th floor with 28 patient beds within a 396-bed hospital. Scrub color is Misty Grey. Charting is done in Epic. Parking is free. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June-November, peak August-September), employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams.
