About The Position
We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our Inpatient Rehabilitation team. This role is crucial in providing care to patients with a variety of conditions including stroke, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, and amputations. The position is within a 46-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation unit and also supports a 10-bed LTACH/ICU. The facility is an Inpatient Rehab Facility with a focus on rehabilitation and LTACH/ICU services.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience required.
- BLS certification required.
- NBCOT certification required.
- Alaska License required (preference for license in hand).
- Proficient in Per UD (Physician's Understanding of Diagnosis).
- Acute Rehab Facility Experience required.
- Must include all RTO with submittal.
- Candidates must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility.
- Pending license accepted, but strong preference for Alaska license in hand.
Nice To Haves
- IRF (Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility) experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language pathology services to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
- Care for patients with stroke, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, and amputations.
- Work within a 46-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation unit and a 10-bed LTACH/ICU.
- Meet facility needs within the scope of practice.
- Potentially work some weekends as required.
