About The Position
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist for a full-time, school-based position at an elementary school in Frederick, Maryland. The role focuses on helping students develop speech, language, and communication skills to support academic success and social development. The Speech-Language Pathologist delivers speech and language therapy services, helping students overcome communication challenges and succeed academically.
Requirements
- Active Maryland state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- At least 6 months of recent SLP experience within the last 5 years.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students.
- Identify appropriate treatment plans and modify them based on student response and clinical indicators.
- Educate and support students and their families, tailoring therapy strategies to individual needs.
- Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely documentation of sessions and student progress.
