About The Position
HealthPro Heritage is hiring a PRN Speech Language Pathologist to work in an assisted living setting at Downriver Estates in Brownstown, Michigan. The position offers a pay range of $50–$54 per hour and a flexible schedule with a rehabilitation team. The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders, documents care, and collaborates with healthcare providers to support effective patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or eligibility for licensure.
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations.
- Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
- Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans.
- Educate and support patients and families about disorders, treatment strategies, and ways to improve daily communication.
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
