Technician, 2026-2027 Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
About The Position
Full-time positions are available for a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for the 2026-2027 school year. The SLPA will serve students from Kindergarten through age 21. The primary responsibility is to provide therapy services to students on their caseload under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. A significant part of the role involves providing Tier 2 interventions through the MTSS process. SLPAs in their first year must follow guidance from the Nebraska Department of Education regarding the submission of a letter of intent to pursue a graduate program in Speech-Language Pathology. This position is subject to a veterans preference.
Requirements
- Must be a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA).
- Must be eligible to serve students from Kindergarten through age 21.
- Must follow guidance from the Nebraska Department of Education on submitting a letter of intent to pursue a graduate program in Speech-Language Pathology (for first-year SLPAs).
Responsibilities
- Provide therapy services to students on caseload under the guidance of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Deliver Tier 2 interventions through the MTSS process.
