About The Position

5280 Recovery High School is Colorado's only recovery high school, serving youth in recovery from addiction. As a public charter school authorized by Denver Public Schools, it offers a high-quality learning environment within a substance-free community. As a recovery charter school committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, we serve students who struggle with substance misuse and other self-destructive behaviors. Our students with special education needs require additional assistance with Executive Functioning, Behavior Management, Academics and Emotional Regulation. The ideal candidate will align with our mission to prioritize relationships and student well-being, working closely with the Recovery Team and general education teachers to support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) within primarily Humanities (English/History) courses, and have experience writing IEPs and conducting evaluations. This role offers a flexible schedule, with work during school hours, starting in late September through March.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Background Check (Fingerprint) Clearance.

Responsibilities
