5280 High School is seeking a dedicated, collaborative, and trauma-informed SPED Teacher to provide part-time leave coverage. This role supports students who struggle with substance misuse and other self-destructive behaviors, with a focus on those requiring additional assistance with Executive Functioning, Behavior Management, Academics, and Emotional Regulation. The ideal candidate will align with the school's mission to prioritize relationships and student well-being, working closely with the Recovery Team and general education teachers to support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) primarily in Humanities (English/History) courses. Experience in writing IEPs and conducting evaluations is required. This position offers a flexible schedule, with work during school hours, from late September through March.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
• Background Check (Fingerprint) Clearance.
