About The Position

This is a long-term substitute position for a Special Education EBD (Emotional/Behavioral Disorder) teacher at Horizon Middle School East Campus, serving 7th and 8th graders. The duration of the assignment is approximately from October 1, 2026, to February 1, 2027. The teacher will be responsible for developing and supporting curriculum, facilitating instruction, and evaluating student progress. Collaboration with other professionals, administrators, parents, and district personnel regarding student needs and district initiatives is also a key part of the role.

Requirements

• Current Minnesota teaching license required and/or the ability to obtain in the assigned area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support curriculum in assigned instructional subjects.
• Facilitate instruction.
• Evaluate and assess student progress against instructional outcomes and objectives.
• Participate and collaborate with other instructional professionals, administrators, parents, counselors, and other district personnel concerning student needs, issues, and district learning initiatives, curriculum, and building issues.
