About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to perform clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting, and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment, following established standard operating procedures. The role supports the accurate preparation, identification, routing, storage, and shipment of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing. The position is located at 2525 E Royalton Rd, Broadview Heights, Ohio. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., with rotating Saturdays. The pay range is $17.75–$24.26 per hour; offers are based on skills, relevant experience, degrees or certifications, internal equity, and market data.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Comfort handling biological specimens.
Ability to accurately identify specimens.
Experience working in a team environment.
Strong data-entry and organizational skills.
High level of attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

One or more years of experience in a laboratory, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.
Six or more months of medical or production experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas.
Accurately identify and label specimens.
Pack and ship specimens to the proper testing facilities.
Meet department activity and production goals.
Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples.
Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
Resolve and document problem specimens.
Perform clinical specimen accessioning and sample sorting in accordance with established standard operating procedures.
