About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Problem Resolution Specialist to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This role involves acting as a liaison between the lab, clients, and patients, resolving customer requests, and ensuring the accuracy and proper handling of specimens. The specialist will work with multiple databases, provide customer education, review test forms, prepare and triage specimens, and manage specimen storage and shipping.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
Comfortable handling biological specimens
Ability to accurately identify specimens
Experience working in a team environment
Strong data entry and organizational skills
High level of attention to detail
Well-versed in applications like Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and willingness to learn new applications
Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Nice To Haves

Current or prior Labcorp experience
Associates degree
2 years or more of experience in the healthcare industry, such as a physician's office, clinic or hospital
2 years or more of experience in customer service

Responsibilities

Act as a liaison between the lab, clients, and patients.
Resolve internal & external customer requests via calls, instant messenger & email communications.
Communicate with customers in a respectful and professional manner.
Work in multiple databases to research complex issues and questions.
Provide customer education and information as needed.
Review test forms for accuracy and report any discrepancies.
Prepare and triage specimens for analysis.
Accurately identify and label specimens.
Pack and ship specimens as necessary.
Prepare and store excess specimen samples.
