About The Position

The Specifications Analyst will partner cross-functionally with internal teams including Pricing, Engineering, Customer Service, Operations, Procurement, and Plant Controllers to support standard costing processes and uphold pricing integrity. This role involves processing manufacturing facility requests to create new supply and inventory items, and to maintain and update existing item attributes within master data systems to ensure data integrity. The analyst will conduct regular audits of item master data to identify and correct discrepancies, ensuring consistency and accuracy across comparable items. Additionally, the role supports the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager with special projects throughout the annual budget process, year-end close, and financial rollover periods. The Specifications Analyst will oversee updates and maintenance of the Commercial Specifications Plan by coordinating inputs across departments and ensuring alignment with business objectives. This position provides analytical support to drive profitable decision-making by gathering and interpreting data related to customer specifications patterns, product rationalization opportunities, and pricing optimization strategies. The role also validates revenue and standard costs to support monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and financial reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related business field; or equivalent combination of education and 5–7 years of relevant business experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a supply chain or finance-related role.
  • Proven analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced data analysis capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage competing deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to manage and audit large volumes of data.
  • Analytical mindset with an interest in cost accounting, manufacturing systems, and continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Cognos TM1, Oracle ERP systems, Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI and Tableau, and Netstock.
