About The Position

This role supports standard costing processes and upholds pricing integrity by partnering cross-functionally with internal teams. The Specifications Analyst will process manufacturing facility requests to create new supply and inventory items, and maintain/update existing item attributes within master data systems to ensure data integrity. Regular audits of item master data will be conducted to identify and correct discrepancies. The position also involves collaborating with management on process improvements, supporting the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager with special projects, overseeing updates to the Commercial Specifications Plan, and providing analytical support for profitable decision-making. This includes gathering and interpreting data related to customer specifications patterns, product rationalization opportunities, and pricing optimization strategies. The role also validates revenue and standard costs for monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and financial reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related business field; or equivalent combination of education and 5–7 years of relevant business experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in a supply chain or finance-related role.
• Proven analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced data analysis capabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage competing deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to manage and audit large volumes of data.
• Analytical mindset with an interest in cost accounting, manufacturing systems, and continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Cognos TM1, Oracle ERP systems, Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI and Tableau, and Netstock.

Responsibilities

• Partner cross-functionally with internal teams including Pricing, Engineering, Customer Service, Operations, Procurement, and Plant Controllers to support standard costing processes and uphold pricing integrity.
• Process manufacturing facility requests to create new supply and inventory items and to maintain and update existing item attributes within master data systems to ensure data integrity.
• Conduct regular audits of item master data to identify and correct discrepancies, ensuring consistency and accuracy across comparable items.
• Collaborate with management to identify and implement process improvements that enhance accuracy and efficiency across specifications planning, accounting, and supporting operational processes.
• Support the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager with special projects throughout the annual budget process, year-end close, and financial rollover periods.
• Oversee updates and maintenance of the Commercial Specifications Plan by coordinating inputs across departments and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Provide analytical support to drive profitable decision-making by gathering and interpreting data related to customer specifications patterns, product rationalization opportunities, and pricing optimization strategies.
• Validate revenue and standard costs to support monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and financial reporting requirements.
