Specialty Veterinary Technician Welcome to Animal Emergency & Specialty Center (AESC)! We are a 24/7 Emergency Care Veterinary Hospital with 7 different Specialties. We are seeking skilled and compassionate Specialty Technicians to join our team and provide exceptional care to patients in a fast-paced environment. We are currently hiring for the following departments: Neurology Oncology Radiology WE ARE OFFERING A SIGNING BONUS OF UP TO $3000 FOR THESE ROLES! $1,500 RELOCATION BONUS MAY APPLY FOR HIGHLY QUALIFIED REGISTERED TECHNICIANS RELOCATING WITHIN THE PARKER COLORADO AREA! Compensation: $25 - $35/hr. depending on experience We are offering up to a SIGN ON BONUS and or RELOCATION BONUS for these roles!!!! About the Roles: The Specialty Technician supports the specialty team and hospital by coordinating efficient patient care for animals receiving a variety of services. In this role, you will utilize a broad range of technical skills, including sedation and anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, medication administration, patient care, and clinical knowledge in a fast-paced specialty setting. Neurology Technician Gain hands-on anesthesia experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you will utilize and expand your full technical skill set while advancing your surgical and anesthesia expertise. This role also provides the opportunity to work with both scheduled and urgent neurology cases. Monday – Friday: 7:30a-3:30p Oncology Technician Gain experience in chemotherapy administration while utilizing and strengthening advanced catheter placement, venipuncture, and laboratory skills. This role also requires exceptional client communication and customer service abilities due to the sensitive nature of oncology cases and offers the opportunity to grow alongside a collaborative and expanding team. Monday – Friday: 9:00am – 5:00pm Radiology Technician Opportunity to work closely with an anesthesiologist to further develop your sedation and anesthesia skills within a supportive and positive team culture. In this role, you will utilize and strengthen your coordination, anesthesia, and communication skills while collaborating with three radiologists to obtain CT, ultrasound, and radiographic imaging. The radiology team works closely with every department in the hospital, providing exposure to a wide variety of critical emergency and specialty cases. Tuesday – Friday: 8:30am-6:30pm

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of Veterinary Technician experience required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Colorado Registered Veterinary Technician or the ability to become registered upon hire
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus!

Nice To Haves

  • At least 2 Years of Veterinary Technician experience in an Emergency or Specialty Practice

Responsibilities

  • Provides excellent patient care to every hospitalized patient.
  • Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments and procedures that need to be done.
  • Perform standard technician duties including patient restraint, venipuncture, radiographs, medication administration as ordered by a veterinarian, and obtain and process laboratory samples.
  • Collaborate with all departments across the hospital to ensure that all patients receive the best possible patient care.
  • Provide an outstanding client experience in consultations.
  • Maintain accurate paperless medical records utilizing EzyVet and Smartflow.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of medical and financial practices, including creating estimates and discussing with the owners, collecting payment, and discharging patients.
  • Demonstrate compassion and care in all interactions.
  • Attending department and staff meetings.
  • Contribute to the overall needs, cleanliness, and organization of the hospital.
  • Perform sedation and anesthesia according to established hospital protocols (induction, maintenance, monitoring and recovery).
  • Other duties as needed.
