About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an extraordinary Specialty Veterinary Technician to provide support to our Specialty departments! This is a part-time role, with shifts on Tuesdays and Thursdays, totaling 16-24 hours per week. The pay range is $22.00 - $44.00 per hour, dependent on experience and advancement through a leveling system.

Requirements

Credentialed Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT/CVT).
Minimum of 2 years of specialty or emergency veterinary experience preferred.
Strong anesthesia and patient monitoring skills.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced patient care, including triage, treatment, monitoring, and nursing care for hospitalized patients.
Assist with emergency and specialty procedures while supporting clinicians with diagnostics and client communication.
Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, sample collection, and laboratory testing.
Administer medications and maintain accurate medical records.
Perform anesthesia calculations, induction, monitoring, and recovery for surgical and diagnostic procedures.
Prepare patients for surgery and maintain aseptic technique.
Monitor ECGs and patient vitals, recognizing and communicating abnormalities.
Maintain anesthesia equipment, surgical instruments, and treatment areas.
Complete RECOVER CPR training and respond effectively in emergency situations.
