About The Position

The SAP Master Data Specialist is a hands-on, cross-functional role responsible for the integrity and lifecycle of e.l.f. Beauty’s product master data in SAP. You will own the end-to-end creation, maintenance, and governance of SAP Material Master records — partnering daily with Operations, Supply Chain, PLM, and IT to ensure data is accurate, current, and trusted across all downstream systems. This is not a passive data entry role. We’re looking for someone who proactively hunts down data quality issues, champions best practices across the business, and continuously finds smarter ways to manage our data as our brand portfolio scales. Requirements

2–4 years of hands-on experience working with SAP Material Master Data, including direct creation and maintenance of material master records across multiple organizational views.
Demonstrated ability to identify process gaps and drive measurable improvements — can point to specific examples of systemic fixes they’ve owned end-to-end.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail; comfortable working with large data sets to identify patterns and anomalies.
Strong communication skills — written and verbal — with the ability to translate data concepts for non-technical audiences and influence stakeholders across functions.
Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and drive tasks to completion across a matrixed organization.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation).

Nice To Haves

Background in beauty, retail, or consumer packaged goods — familiarity with product lifecycle from concept to shelf is a meaningful advantage.
Experience with PLM systems, particularly Centric PLM, for upstream product data management.
Experience supporting or participating in SAP system implementations, integrations, or data migrations.

Responsibilities

Defining data collection, reporting, and quality assurance processes.
Working closely with the PLM Master Data Steward on source data, while creating SAP-specific master data.
Proactively identify, root cause, and resolve data quality issues — and propose systemic fixes to prevent recurrence.
Championing data best practices and enabling data owners through training and communications.
Compliance with governance policies and procedures.
Lead the development and continuous improvement of master data governance policies and scalable workflows.
Drive data requirements for system enhancements, new integrations, and data model changes — from scoping through UAT.
Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, or improve master data processes; propose and pilot solutions in partnership with IT and Operations.
