About The Position

A Master Data Specialist ensures the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of an organisation’s core data (e.g., customer, product, supplier info) across all systems, creating a "single source of truth." They develop data governance policies, lead data cleansing, and manage cross-functional data initiatives to support informed business decisions and operational efficiency.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Define and enforce policies for data creation, updates, and deletion to ensure data integrity.
  • Responsible for collecting data required from the different departments (e.g. new product development).
  • Manage day-to-day maintenance of master data domains (products, customers, BOMs, vendor info).
  • Ensures that all Master Data of the different systems (e.g. EF4, Quintiq, Line Control, FoodsConnected and Agito) is aligned and up-to-date.
  • Monitor metrics, perform cleansing, and implement validation rules.
  • Collaborate with IT, operations, and business units to align data practices with system requirements.
  • Lead data migration, integration, and system upgrade projects.
  • Collect data for customers, vendors and materials.
  • Enter all collected data in ERP system as required.
  • Coordinate collection of data from different departments.
  • Improve the data collection process within the plant.
  • Help different departments understand what the data does in the system and why it is needed.
  • Be the key person within the business for all data related questions.
  • Conduct data cleaning to rid the system of old, unused data, or duplicate data for better management and quicker access.
  • Research, coordinate and install software releases and database integration.
  • For Finance, creation and maintenance of General Ledger accounts, Cost Centre departments in accordance with Group policy.
