About The Position

The Quality Associate / Aircraft Logs and Records Custodian is responsible for ensuring all aircraft logs and records are accurately maintained and kept current while aircraft are on-site for Periodic Depot Maintenance (PDM) or inducted for modifications, in accordance with government contract requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant quality experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related quality experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related quality experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing flight records and aircraft discrepancies for accuracy, completeness, and trends.
  • Demonstrated experience screening aircraft records for Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletin applicability and compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience updating, and maintaining aircraft records daily in accordance with applicable technical publications.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated knowledge of SAP is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information and documentation with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of full MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

  • Account for all aircraft records upon induction.
  • Review incoming flight records and aircraft discrepancies for accuracy, completeness, and trends.
  • Screen aircraft records for Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletin applicability and compliance.
  • Verify Equipment Operation Record time for APUs, engines, and propellers, and make corrections as needed.
  • Review APU Equipment Operating Records for accuracy and proper subassembly listings.
  • Review, update, and maintain aircraft records daily in accordance with applicable technical publications.
  • Investigate missing, incomplete, or conflicting customer information and resolve discrepancies before aircraft return to flight status.
  • Enter required data into government websites to maintain accurate recordkeeping.
  • Coordinate with the program office and customer on maintenance-related issues.
  • Prepare and release required reports in accordance with technical publications and contract requirements.
  • Update applicable aircraft technical publications as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
  • Candidate should be capable of keying a minimum of 55 words per minute.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. when transporting records between locations.
