About The Position

The RCM Payment Posting Specialist processes cash receipts, monitors patient balances, and performs duties needed to maintain accounts receivable records by posting payments on a timely basis. The position supports payment posting and Patient AR activities for multiple Tax IDs and cash accounts, helps ensure timely patient statements, and provides support to practice locations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of experience with third-party billing, including payment posting.
Basic computer literacy, including MS Windows, Word, and Excel.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment, prioritizing the good of the team over the individual.
Ability to maintain patient and practice confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Process and enter cash collections from third-party plans, patients, and miscellaneous payments for multiple Tax IDs and cash accounts.
Develop expertise in payment activity and serve as a department and company resource for related questions.
Communicate system and site issues to the Manager and IT, if applicable, in a timely manner to support management oversight and resource planning.
Assist in the RPA Patient AR process to send patient statements on time.
Work with the Research and Reconciliation team to ensure discovered payments are posted promptly and effectively.
Provide Help Desk support to practice locations for Payment Posting and Patient AR problems and questions.
Assist the Manager with special projects as needed.
