About The Position

The Order Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of customer orders within the automotive manufacturing environment. This includes after order handover to manufacturing of order delivery to Outbound. The role is part of the Production Steering team and aims to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace. The specialist will coordinate and oversee orders after handover from Sales through manufacturing, monitor material availability for production introduction, and track any production or facility changes affecting order production. They will manage orders (block, release, scrap) according to requirements, communicate changes, and interface with Production Steering for order and production plan management. The role also involves interacting with Production Control to coordinate recovery plans for the production plan, tracking on-time delivery performance, reporting deficiencies, and collecting/preparing order management details through a regular reporting cycle to meet global reporting requirements. Support for VDA/BMS and other requirements is also expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Business Administration, engineering or a related field. An equivalent amount of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 4+ years in order management or order fulfillment within the automotive industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with translation to business report writing.
  • Proficiency in ERP and planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong excel and data analysis capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate complex issues into common language for the organization.
  • Collaborative team-player with strong interpersonal skills able to work at each hierarchical level of the company.
  • Detailed knowledge of systems, including Microsoft office suite, especially excel.
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the order after handover from Sales through manufacturing.
  • Monitor the material availability to secure the introduction of the order to production.
  • Monitor any production or facility changes affecting order production.
  • Manage orders, block, release, scrap, according to requirements and communicate accordingly.
  • Interface within Production Steering for management of orders and production plan.
  • Interact with Production Control and coordinate any recovery plans to the production plan.
  • Track the on-time performance of the delivery date.
  • Report any deficiencies or plans to recover delayed orders.
  • Collect, prepare and deliver the order management details through, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reporting cycle.
  • Meet the global reporting requirements of the team.
  • Support other requirements, including VDA/ BMS , as necessary.
