About The Position

Labour Relations Specialists are responsible for providing advanced knowledge as a strategic partner and subject matter expert in the design, delivery, and implementation of human resource services and strategies to improve operations, achieve goals, and resolve issues. The Specialist provides solutions for labour relations issues including interpretation, application and administration of collective agreements and relevant legislation, labour relations and conflict resolution advice in support of managing workplace matters, strategic labour relations advice and support for organization change and strategic initiatives, conducting the grievance process, negotiating and documenting grievance settlements, preparing for arbitration and other adjudications, contributing to labour relations policy development, conducting workplace investigations, preparing for and participating in collective bargaining, and providing training on labour relations matters within the organization. Requirements

  • 3-5 years' experience in Human Resources
  • Industrial Relations degree/diploma
  • Human Resources diploma
  • Bachelor of Commerce (BComm)
  • Business Administration diploma (DBA)
  • Juris Doctor (JD)
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
  • Masters of Law
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
  • Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge in First Nation and Metis history in Saskatchewan

Responsibilities
