We are seeking a hands‑on, experienced Specialist, Ethics, Compliance & Privacy to support our Global Ethics and Compliance function, reporting directly to the Global Leader, Ethics, Compliance and Privacy. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys risk mitigation, understanding and implementing ethical decision-making frameworks, developing and delivering training, leading Code of Conduct initiatives, and contributing to projects in a fast-paced, growing international environment. The role is based in Montreal, but the successful candidate must be prepared to travel, if necessary. The Ethics & Compliance Specialist will support the Global Leader, Ethics & Compliance, and work closely with managers and employees across CAE’s business units on a broad range of compliance matters essential to mitigating legal and regulatory risks associated with the company’s global operations. This role entails significant responsibilities in the implementation of our global ethics and compliance programs, ensuring its alignment with CAE’s Code of Business Ethics, Corporate Policies and Procedures, and applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to anti-corruption, anti-trust and fair competition, privacy, and human rights legislation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Law, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in tasks or activities related to ethics and compliance in a corporate context in an international context
  • An excellent command of French and English (oral and written) and good writing skills
  • Experience in designing and implementing compliance programs (particularly with a view to simplifying systems and controls to suit our business)

Nice To Haves

  • A certificate in ethics and compliance from a reputable institution
  • Experience in internal investigations

Responsibilities

  • Support the Global Leader, Ethics & Compliance in the development, implementation, and ongoing review of CAE’s ethics and compliance programs
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the laws, regulations, and guidelines applicable to CAE’s operations, including but not limited to anti-corruption, competition, privacy, and human rights laws, and effectively communicate key concepts through training and advisory support
  • Contribute to the implementation of a risk-based due diligence program for third parties and business partners, in accordance with key corporate policies, including CAE’s Anti-Corruption Policy and Business Partners Policy
  • Coordinate and follow up on training initiatives related to CAE’s ethics and compliance programs
  • Serve as a point of contact for business unit managers and employees to clarify roles and responsibilities under applicable policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with the HR team to support the effective administration of the Code of Business Conduct and related policies, including onboarding, training, and certification of compliance
  • Support the development, implementation, and documentation of independent monitoring processes to ensure consistent application of key elements of the ethics and compliance programs
  • Promote and support internal reporting and whistleblowing processes, and assist with internal investigations related to business compliance matters
  • Ensure that exceptions to policies and alleged violations of laws and regulations are properly, consistently, and thoroughly documented
  • Monitor and inform the Global Leader, Ethics & Compliance of relevant legislative and regulatory developments, as well as emerging compliance trend
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Global Leader, Ethics & Compliance
