About The Position

Reporting to the Manager Financial Planning Capital, the Capital Infrastructure Specialist will demonstrate knowledge and experience with capital infrastructure financial requirements including accounting treatment and depreciation schedules, while having a solid understanding of SHA policies and procedures. The Specialist will provide support to the Manager with financial infrastructure reporting/analysis and to the Infrastructure Management Team with respect to capital infrastructure/projects approvals and procurement. The Specialist will prepare monthly capital infrastructure financial reports for senior leadership and the Infrastructure team as well as participate in Capital budget preparation with various portfolios that involves discussing and recommending opinions of a capital nature such as; recommendations and opinions on infrastructure projects that may have a direct impact on staff and services provided. In addition the Specialist will reconcile and report on capital budgets that may have a direct impact on staff and services provided.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in finance or accounting role
  • Accounting designation (CA, CPA)
  • Business Administration/Commerce majoring in Accounting
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Licensed and in good standing with professional association and/or regulatory body, if applicable
  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Knowledge of legislation and applicable laws
  • Knowledge of the healthcare system in Saskatchewan
