About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience providing project/program management services.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in managing the full construction project life cycle, including pre-construction design phases and oversight of constructability reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and direction for construction projects, ensuring compliance with all equal employment opportunity (EEO) policies.

  • Provide ongoing support to staff during all phases of a project (pre-design, procurement, construction, post-construction) for higher education projects.
  • Manage cost, schedule, quality, and document control in compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
  • Oversee the coordination of all project activities on construction or environmental project sites, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure team adherence to safety guidelines to promote a hazard-free work environment.
  • Maintain clear and regular communication with clients, contractors, and stakeholders through emails, meetings, and reports.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and timely distribution of project correspondence, progress updates, and issue resolution.
  • Manage the planning, budgeting, and scheduling of project activities to meet established deadlines and project goals within approved budgets.
  • Administer contracts for design and construction firms, acting as the owner's representative to address changes or issues promptly.
  • Oversee quality control processes during construction and abatement phases, ensuring adherence to contract specifications, regulations, and best practices.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring contractual requirements are met and exploring opportunities for repeat business.
  • Stay informed about advancements in construction technologies and integrate new methodologies and best practices into project management.
  • Supervise and mentor Project Managers, Construction Managers, and other staff, promoting diversity in recruitment and retention.
  • Assign and delegate tasks to project staff, monitoring workload distribution to ensure effective contribution to project success and team support.
