Specialist, Americas Talent Acquisition Sourcing
About The Position
The Specialist, Sourcing joins Bain’s Sourcing Center of Excellence and works with recruiters, hiring managers, and account managers across the business. Reporting to the Regional Lead, Sourcing, the specialist partners with stakeholders to understand hiring priorities, develop targeted sourcing strategies, and identify talent across practices and functions. The role independently develops and executes sourcing strategies for priority positions, identifies and engages prospective candidates, and provides talent-market insights to support hiring decisions. It applies sourcing techniques, market knowledge, and industry best practices to build talent pipelines and support an exceptional candidate experience. The position follows a hybrid model, requiring in-office presence at least three days per week, and is a permanent, full-time role based in Chicago, Illinois.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in talent sourcing or headhunting and the ability to independently develop and execute sourcing strategies.
- Strong candidate research and assessment skills, including the ability to identify talent aligned with role and team requirements.
- Confidence engaging prospective candidates and communicating opportunities clearly and persuasively.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and bring activities to successful resolution.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and organized approach, with logical problem-solving and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build trusted relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Comfort using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Nice To Haves
- Four or more years of relevant experience in sourcing or headhunting.
- Knowledge of current sourcing tools, technologies, and industry best practices.
- Experience sourcing candidates for technology or consulting roles.
- Familiarity with SharePoint and human resources information systems.
Responsibilities
- Partner with recruiters, hiring managers, and account managers to understand talent needs and develop tailored sourcing strategies for specific roles and skill sets.
- Identify and assess prospective candidates against role requirements and provide recommendations and insights to hiring teams.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies across Bain’s practices and functions while building expertise in selected areas.
- Use LinkedIn, SeekOut, Avature, and other sourcing platforms to identify talent and share market insights with recruiters.
- Engage prospective candidates through personalized outreach, professional networking, and targeted communications.
- Communicate role requirements and Bain’s value proposition, supporting recruiters during candidate screening and engagement.
- Build and maintain pipelines of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs, nurturing relationships with passive talent.
- Partner with hiring teams to understand sector-specific talent requirements and turn market research into actionable sourcing insights.
- Monitor sourcing progress, identify potential challenges, and adjust strategies with recruiters and team leadership.
- Build trusted relationships with recruiters, hiring managers, and search leads by delivering relevant candidate recommendations and responding to feedback.
- Stay informed about sourcing trends, tools, and best practices, and identify opportunities to improve sourcing processes and team effectiveness.
