About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Special Security Specialist (Mid-Level) to support the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Defense Intelligence Enterprise. As a Special Security Specialist supporting DIA, you'll work alongside the Special Security Officer to control access to SCI and SCI facilities, run the briefings and debriefings that keep the workforce compliant, and keep the paperwork, inspections, and audits airtight. You'll be the person people trust to get their access right the first time. This position is contingent upon award of contract, business needs, security clearance verification, and funding availability.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • 8+ years of relevant special security or SSO support experience, with recent experience within the last 2 years
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Working knowledge of ICD 704, ICD 705, and DoD SCI security policy
  • Meticulous attention to detail and sound judgment in handling sensitive personnel matters
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 8+ years of relevant special security or SSO support experience, with recent experience within the last 2 years

Nice To Haves

  • Prior DIA or IC security experience
  • SFPC, SAPPC, or similar security professional certification
  • SCIF construction or accreditation experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Special Security Officer (SSO) in controlling access to SCI and SCI facilities (SCIFs)
  • Certify and receive SCI visitor clearances and accesses, coordinating so official visits go smoothly
  • Conduct SCI security briefings, indoctrinations, and debriefings, and deliver training on classified material handling and SSO-related topics
  • Obtain signed nondisclosure agreements and process SCI position and eligibility requests for assigned military, government, and contractor personnel
  • Conduct audits of classified material and inspections of storage facilities, SCIFs, and containers
  • Research and prepare classified material policy and management recommendations and reports
