About The Position

Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL) develops AI-powered consumer experiences using Meta's models. The Special Projects Lead addresses MSL's most challenging operational and strategic issues on behalf of the Chief AI Officer. This is a strategic, execution-oriented role requiring the ability to work through ambiguity, move quickly, and deliver results at scale. The lead works across MSL to identify priorities and deliver solutions, including establishing processes, leading cross-organizational initiatives, and resolving complex problems without an established owner or playbook.

Requirements

At least 6 years of experience in operations, strategic initiatives, program management, or a similar role in a fast-paced, complex organization.
Ability to independently own and drive complex projects from ambiguity through execution and measurable results.
Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, including stakeholder management, action tracking, and cross-functional coordination.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft executive briefs and presentations.
Track record of organizing, developing, and executing strategic projects that deliver results.
Experience navigating C-suite dynamics and company policies and procedures.
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, applications, and industry trends sufficient to engage with technical teams and inform operational decisions.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent.

Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices, such as risk assessment, bias mitigation, and quality and accuracy reviews.
Experience identifying and pursuing high-impact initiatives with limited direction, from problem identification through solution delivery with minimal oversight.
Experience in a special projects, strategic initiatives, or similar high-autonomy execution role.
MBA or foreign equivalent.
Ongoing AI skill development, such as prompt/context engineering or agent orchestration, and staying current with emerging AI technologies.
Ability to integrate AI tools to optimize or redesign workflows and drive measurable impact, such as efficiency gains or quality improvements.

Responsibilities

Own and execute MSL's highest-priority special projects end-to-end, from problem definition and stakeholder alignment through delivery and measurable outcomes.
Resolve emerging, ambiguous challenges without a clear owner or playbook, with speed and rigor.
Develop project strategies, track execution against goals, and ensure accountability across workstreams.
Collaborate with Legal, Finance, HR, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to remove friction and advance project objectives.
Build working relationships and navigate complex stakeholder landscapes to accelerate decisions and unblock execution.
Design and implement operational frameworks, processes, and communication structures to support MSL as it scales.
Identify operational gaps and inefficiencies and build solutions that create leverage across the organization.
